Huygens–Fresnel principle

Huygens–Fresnel principle (also known as Huygens principle) says that all wave front points can be considered sources of new spherical waves. The position of the wavefront after at time t will be given by the surface tangent to these spherical waves. The Huygens–Fresnel method can be applied qualitatively to all wave phenomena. Can be presented with elemental means
Huygens waves, both the reflection of the waves and their refraction.

This principle ia named after Dutch physicist Christiaan Huygens and French physicist Augustin-Jean Fresnel
