The Horsehead Nebula

The Horsehead Nebula (also labelled Barnard 33), is a dense cloud of dust and ionized hydrogen of 3.5 light years diameter and it’s about 1500 light years away. Nebula is located in the constellation of Orion, just below the star Alnitak (the most left-side in the Orion belt). The nebula was first observed in 1888 by Scottish female astronomer – Williamina Fleming.
